Historical Society, Wilmslow
This is a very
active society with about 120 members. It meets
every 2nd Wednesday in the month from Sept - May
at the Parish Hall, Wilmslow. In summer it has
evening visits to places of historic interest.
It organises a week-end visit to a university
town in Sept. It also has a research group and
produces publications.

International Club
The club is for
foreigners and has members in the Wilmslow, Alderley,
Knutsford, Macclesfield, Cheadle and other areas.
At the moment there are people from India, Italy,
Hungary, France, Germany, Japan, China, South
American countries etc. The meet every last Friday
in the month at members houses. They have 3 bigger
events in the year including a family BBQ and
a meal with partners . They sometimes have meetings
when an outside speaker attends. Occasionally
they organise charity fundraising events.

This is an amateur
group founded in 1924. In 1989 a Victorian cottage
and a shirt factory were converted to a modern
theatre and since then this has been their home.
The theatre has a capacity of 85 and performs
a variety of challenging productions with innovative
and adventurous stage designs.
The group is active from September to May and
a new members leaflet can be obtained on any Saturday
morning at the Green Room during this period.

Decorative & Fine Arts Societies. It promotes
artistic interests through regular lectures, visits

the church). Meetings are friendly and informal
with the opportunity for a chat and discussion
over a glass of wine after the lecture. The lecture
topics covered range widely over fine art and

fully qualified coaches coach children from 4 to
11 in all aspects of football.

WFA also runs the under 7's and 8's squads for
Wilmslow Sports and also places players with other

adults with any disabilities, we meet every Friday
evening from 7.30pm to 8.30pm at the Leisure Centre
Pool. Membership, admission and instruction are
completely free.
Many people have learned to swim at the club.
Club sessions are staffed by qualified life guards
and everyone is helped and supported by club members.
They also organise other social events, such as

active club with over 800 members! They organise
walks midweek Tues/Wed and weekends Sat/ Sun.
The walks are divided into three categories: Short
- 5 to 7 miles, Medium - 7 to 10 miles rougher
terrain, and Long - 12+ miles strenuous walk.
